Birthday Suit

When Julia (17) goes on a vacation with her dad Cees and his new girlfriend, she unexpectedly ends up at a nudist campsite. Not only does she have to face her discomfort with being naked, but she also has a hard time accepting her dad having a new lover and having to miss her mother. Through her budding friendship with free spirit Nenah (20), she gradually comes to terms with the new situation. But when Cees misses the mark with a surprise he’s organized for his daughter, their bond becomes tenuous.

Lisanne is a screenwriter, director and actress. Ze studied film studies at the University of Amsterdam and acting/directing at a Dutch theater school, where she graduated in 2020. Since then, she wrote and directed her first short film Brother (2020), which has received more than 40 awards. In the coming years, Lisanne wants to focus on writing and directing films and series. Ideally, she wants to make films about female protagonists, taboo subjects, and socially relevant themes.
