Matteo Giampetruzzi was born on June 6th, 1999 in Campobasso, Italy. He studied Film Directing in Scuola D'Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté in Rome. He took part in Odense Talent Camp, the Documentary Summer School at Locarno Film Festival, and the youth juries of San Sebastián Film Festival and Cinemajove - Festival de València.

He works as a programmer for the short film section of the festival Giornate di Cinema Queer in Rome and is currently studying Film Curating at Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola in Donostia-San Sebastian.
