Definitely Something

Two high school sweethearts reunite in their 30s for an Emo Night in Brooklyn, only to have their evening derailed by lingering passion and hidden scars. Punctuated by spiked bracelets and a soundtrack featuring emo icons SAY ANYTHING and THURSDAY, Definitely Something is a millennial's homage to both the early 2000s and the continued struggle of wearing your heart on your sleeve.

Justin Andrew Davis is an actor, writer, and filmmaker based in New York City. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School and served as an apprentice at The Barrow Group from 2015-16. You Look Great was Justin’s debut as a filmmaker, and the film has earned him several prestigious awards and continues to start conversations in arts and entertainment communities as well as academia. Recently, he starred as the lead in Alec Sutherland’s upcoming short film Low-Hanging Fruit, a dark comedy about depression and the lengths an actor will go in pursuit of fame. Powerful Stuff, his second short film, finished its festival run in 2023 at the Chain NYC Film Festival. Definitely Something is his third short film.
